2005
Varicent 1.0 is founded.
2010
Varicent was Canada's fastest growing company, according to PROFIT 100 Magazine, and joined the ranks as a Deloitte Fast 500 Fastest Growing Software Company in North America.
2012-2019
Referred to fondly as “the IBM Years” or Varicent 2.0. IBM invested heavily in Varicent, allowing us to release our Premium Performance and Expert editions — that meant faster processing speeds for our largest clients, and lots of exciting work for our teams.
January 2020
The IBM divestiture, which saw our founders and key alumni return to Varicent. We also acquired Symon.AI. With this technology under our belt, the real market disruption began and we hailed the beginning of Varicent 3.0.
2020-Today
We have grown from ~120 employees at the divestiture to 700+ — during a global pandemic, no less. We also acquired Varicent Concert, expanding our portfolio even further. Varicent’s history is rich, exciting, and most importantly, still being made. To say it’s been quite the journey so far may be an understatement - and we’ve yet to find a sign that things are slowing down.
